Northern Burnett Region Rural Outreach – Biggenden 13th of July 2022

Our Rural Outreach Team will be in Biggenden.  Biggenden is a small community in the Northern Burnett region. It is a very small town with a population of around 900 odd people. The town has been severely impacted twice this year with flooding and sadly many families have had to walk away from their homes as they simply did not have the funds to be able to rebuild after putting what little they had into their homes after the first flood. The floods were just six weeks apart. The impact has been devastating and being able to visit these regions and support the women and girls of this community is vital for their dignity, wellbeing and mental health.
